Exploring Future R&D Directions for Cloth‑Clamping Machines! The Little Sun [XTY] High‑Speed Cloth‑Clamping Technology Exchange Conference Was Held.
Release Date:2026-10-09

On October 15, during the 2024 China International Textile Machinery Exhibition and ITMA Asia Exhibition, the 2024 High-Speed Cloth Clip Technology Exchange Conference was held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai).

This conference was organized under the leadership of Jiangsu Little Sun Technology Development Co., Ltd. Industry experts, university scholars, and representatives from key customers attended to exchange ideas and discuss future R&D directions for cloth clips. The meeting was chaired by Zhou Yan, Chief Standardization Engineer and Senior Engineer at Jiangsu Little Sun Technology Development Co., Ltd.

High-endization, green development, and intelligentization are inevitable trends in the evolution of the equipment industry. Companies in the sector keep pace with the times, continuously developing new products to drive transformation, upgrading, and high-quality growth. Gu Ping, President of the China Textile Machinery Association, stated that as setting machines become increasingly advanced—exhibiting higher temperatures, faster speeds, and ever more complex operating conditions—the proper selection and innovative design of cloth clip products have become critically important. First, compared with earlier designs, modern setting machines now often feature ten or even twelve to fourteen sections; second, the variety of fabrics is constantly expanding, and the quality of cloth clips directly impacts fabric quality. To ensure the production of high-quality fabrics and empower dyeing and printing enterprises, we must invest further in R&D and design, and conduct more meticulous product selection. This requires companies to persistently innovate, meet customer needs, actively participate in formulating industry standards, and explore future R&D directions for cloth clips, building up technological reserves in advance to help textile mills extend the service life of cloth clips and contribute to the high-quality development of the textile industry.

Jiangsu Little Sun Technology Development Co., Ltd. is a manufacturer integrating R&D, design, manufacturing, sales, and service for auxiliary components used in dyeing and printing machinery. Its products hold over 55% of the domestic market share and provide comprehensive solutions for various dyeing and printing equipment—including setting machines—in more than 50 countries and regions worldwide. Chairman Zhang Cainan noted that, as one of the member units of the National Textile Machinery Standards Committee, Little Sun has participated in drafting and revising more than ten textile machinery industry standards, including those related to cloth clips, and has filed over 200 patent applications in the field of textile machinery accessories, nearly 50 of which are invention patents. With the rapid expansion of the market and the continuous emergence of new types of fabrics, efficiency, energy conservation, and environmental protection have become shared goals among manufacturers, placing higher demands on the company’s auxiliary components for dyeing and printing equipment. He expressed hope that industry experts would offer valuable advice to support the R&D and future development of Little Sun’s new products, such as the high-speed XTY cloth clip.

Zhou Yan introduced the usage instructions for cloth clips, analyzed operating conditions at high speeds, and highlighted common pain points. Cloth clips are critical specialized components in dyeing and printing machinery, typically used in stenter machines, mercerizing machines, and pre-shrinking machines, primarily serving to secure and clamp fabrics. She emphasized that before installing a cloth clip, it is essential to verify that all other compatible parts on the setting machine are functioning properly; during installation, care should be taken to handle the clip gently, ensuring that the guide rail does not come into contact with foreign objects, and that the mounting surfaces of the cloth clip and the chain fit tightly together—neither too tight nor too loose. Chain tension should be moderate, adjacent cloth clips must avoid collisions, and the outer side of the tail sprocket should show no signs of wobbling or rubbing.

During the discussion session, Li Liping, an engineer from the Spinning and Dyeing & Finishing Machinery Sub-Technical Committee of the National Textile Machinery and Accessories Standardization Technical Committee, presided over the meeting and presented the development direction of Little Sun’s XTY cloth clip technology. Industry experts offered suggestions on how to use and maintain cloth clips efficiently and correctly, reduce wear to extend their service life, enhance product stability, and explore opportunities for further improvement, ultimately reaching a consensus on product R&D.

As a leading enterprise in the textile machinery accessory industry, Little Sun is committed to collaborating with major users to ensure proper selection, application, and maintenance of cloth clips, thereby prolonging their service life and improving both product quality and production efficiency for end customers. Moving forward, the company will strengthen its guidance and support services for end-users—dyeing and printing factories—enhance communication, and work together with industry partners to resolve challenges encountered during cloth clip operation.

Based on the suggestions and opinions put forth by leaders, industry experts, and customer representatives, Zhou Yan delivered a concluding statement, recommending that machinery manufacturers incorporate online data collection systems into equipment design to monitor operational parameters such as speed, chain tension, and electrical current during cloth clip usage. Such real-time monitoring would facilitate prompt identification, diagnosis, and resolution of issues arising during operation. Additionally, she urged that when contracting for equipment like setting machines, Little Sun be invited to participate, providing detailed information on fabric processing conditions and cloth clip usage scenarios to enable precise product selection.
